A NORTH-East born opera star has returned from the Far East with musical partner to sing in the region.
Sarah Sweeting and Eddie Muliau have just completed a tour of twenty-three venues in China singing leading roles in Verdi's Aïda.
Earlier this summer they starred in a season of Wagner at the Melbourne Opera House in Australia.
Returning for a short break in her home town, Sarah Sweeting and Samoan born Muliau will present a unique Night at the Opera at Stokesley Methodist Church on Friday, December 14 at 7.30pm.
They will also appear in a guest slot at the Christmas Concert at her former school, Lawrence Jackson School in Guisborough. The opera stars will also run a workshop for the school's music students.
Earlybird tickets, £12.50 are available to personal callers from Browns Newsagents in Stokesley and Cook & Forth Estate agents in Guisborough.
