PEOPLE are being urged to come out and support runners when they take on one of the region's toughest races this weekend.
The SABIC Eston Nab Challenge Race will see competitors setting off from Eston square at 10am on Saturday as they tackle the 5k or 10k race.
Councillor Karen King, Deputy Leader of Redcar & Cleveland Borough Council, said: “Good luck to all the runners. Eston will be bustling with competitors, the race organisers, market traders and shoppers. It’ll be a great atmosphere and I hope the crowds make as much noise as possible supporting the runners.”
Daren Smith, from SABIC, said: “We are delighted to support this event, which is right on our doorstep and we’ve encouraged our own employees to take part too.”
