A CAMPAIGN is encouraging people to come forward and support those in their community.

The Middlesbrough Reads campaign, from the National Literacy Trust, is looking for dedicated members of the public to make a difference in their local area by delivering a variety of literacy-focused events and activities.

The group is looking to recruit a team of Literacy Champions who will receive training and resources to lead and deliver projects in the town such as reading groups, literacy-based outings, or competitions.

Those interested in becoming a Literacy Champion, or learning more about Middlesbrough Reads, can email manager Allison Potter on allison_potter@middlesbrough.gov.uk or, alternatively, visit
