FANCY getting covered in a kaleidoscope of powdered paint with your friends and family?

If so, Butterwick Hospice Care's Rainbow Dash could be the answer.

Organisers said the 2018 event, in Hamsterley Forest, was a huge success and raised thousands of pounds for Butterwick.

But this year's event, at Hardwick Park, in Sedgefield, from 1pm on Saturday, June 23, should be even bigger and better with 250 to 350 people expected to take part.

Fundraiser Milly Toner said: "It is always really good fun for all the family and individuals. There'll be a lovely atmosphere and everything raised goes towards Butterwick's work helping those who need it from our communities."

Participants can run, jog or stroll around the 5km course which will feature family-friend obstacles and dogs are welcome.

It costs £17.50 per adult, £12.50 for children and under fives go free and participants are encouraged to collect sponsorship money.

All funds raised will support Butterwick's efforts to improve the quality of life for people with a progressive life-limiting illness and those close to them at hospices in Stockton, Bishop Auckland, a specialist site for children and outreach services.
