A CHARITY is looking for new volunteers to support children and families of prisoners.
The successful applicants will be helping out at HMP Holme House near Stockton and HMP Kirklevington Grange near Yarm.
Nepacs is looking for people who can support families at court, as well as volunteers to help serve refreshments in the visitors centre outside of the prison, or in the prison visits hall on the day a family visit their loved one in prison.
Emma Price, Nepacs' volunteer coordinator, said: "Our team of volunteers are dedicated to helping prisoners' families and children across the north east, but we are looking for more volunteers to join our team supporting families visiting prisons on Teesside and help us to offer the best support possible during what is an extremely difficult time for families.
Further details of all volunteer opportunities are on the charity's website
