AN artist is holding a meet-and-greet event for her hometown exhibition at Dorman Museum.
Impressions, Northern Landscapes by Barbara Renton Wood is now on display at the Linthorpe Road venue in Middlesbrough.
She will host the meet-and-greet event at the Dorman on Tuesday, May 14 from noon-3pm.
Ms Renton Wood, originally from Middlesbrough, is a professional artist with a unique style inspired by the work of fellow artist Len Tabner.
Although she trained and had a successful career as a hairdresser, painting has always been her passion. Since retiring she has had more time to devote to it. The diverse landscapes of the north are prominent in her work from the grandiose industry to the dramatic coastline and sublime countryside.
A recurrent theme is the Transporter Bridge which was near to her childhood home. She manages to capture it in all its glory with her colourful and energetic mastery of paint.
Barbara has exhibited extensively and is the recipient of many prizes. She was a contestant on Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2018.
The exhibition will remain on display until Sunday, June 30.
