A 'LOYAL customer' is to undergo a 24-hour tattoo session in aid of charity.
Ryan Cane has volunteered himself into the hands of Sean Ing, of Skelton who is attempting to tattoo Mr Cane's entire back.
Mr Ing, 29, of Skelton, near Redcar, who owns the New Ink Tattoo Studio in Brotton came up with the idea to support the premature baby charity - Leo's.
On Friday, March 1, Mr Ing is expected to begin his 'tattoo-a-thon' at 9am.
Mr Ing will not finish until 9am, the following morning.
He said: "I already work 13-hour days, which I’m used to, but this is going to be tough going.
“The world record is currently 60 hours for one tattoo sitting, but I also need to consider Ryan and how much pain he can take as I’ll have to work around him swelling up and being sore."
Mr Ing had been inspired to raise awareness of Leo's after seeing family members go through a traumatic birth.
He said: “I’m a dad of four beautiful kids, and after seeing what my partner Rachel’s brother, Richard and his family went through with their son Hugo, I knew I wanted to give back.”
The tattoo-a-thon will be streamed on Facebook, whilst Mr Ing hopes he can raise around £1,000.
