A NEW sixth form principal is returning to his roots to encourage students to reach their full potential.

Ben Robinson has taken over SRC Bede Sixth Form's Billingham campus in his hometown.

He said: “I am passionate about ensuring we can provide the best chances to the young people of Billingham and surrounding areas to give them the opportunities they deserve.

“There is sometimes a tendency that in this area young people don’t set their aspirations high enough and truly believe what they are capable of achieving. At the college we want to inspire everyone to aim higher. A growth mind-set is key to how we inspire the young people who put their trust in us.”

The college is opening its doors to potential students and their families tomorrow from 5.30pm to 7.30pm, offering visitors the chance to find out about the full range of courses and opportunities at the college. For details about the college visit www.bede.ac.uk
