A TEENAGER has reached out to celebrities to help stage a charity auction in memory of her cousin who died at eight weeks.

Ellie Dalton has amassed more than 50 lots to raise funds for the neonatal unit at the James Cook University Hospital, in Middlesbrough, and The Freeman Hospital, in Newcastle, which cared for Brooke Ingles.

Brooke died in January last year after losing her fight with the heart problem pulmonary atresi ventricular sceptical defect.

After writing to more than 200 famous names for donations Ellie, 16, is hosting an aution at Macmillan Academy, in Middlesbrough, where she is a year 11 pupil, next Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm.

Items up for grabs include a limited edition Ferrari top signed by Formula 1 racing driver Filipe Massa, football boots signed by former Boro player and England international Stewart Downing and a signed album by pop singer and X Factor finalist Olly Murs.
