CLEVELAND police are appealing for information after a major trauma bag was stolen from an ambulance.

The incident occurred in Overton Way in Stockton at around 4.50am on Friday (March 13), while paramedics from the ambulance service were dealing with an incident.

Anyone who may have witnessed the theft or anyone who may have been offered any of the medical items for sale are asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting 040523.

Over Thursday and Friday (March 12 and 13), Redcar Neighbourhood Officers seized a Volkswagen Golf and a motorbike.

The motorbike was recovered from Eggleston Road in Redcar after police received reports that it was being ridden by youths in the area. It was also suspected to be stolen.

Officers also recovered a VW Golf from an address in New Marske, on Friday after it is believed it was being driven with no insurance.

On Thursday, two men were arrested after £60,000 worth of cannabis and an air pistol was seized from an Lothian Road in Middlesbrough.

An armed response attended the address and two men aged 19 and 28 were arrested.
