YOUNG people from across Redcar and Cleveland are preparing to stage an acclaimed show about their lives.

'Youthquake', by the award-winning Zest Theatre, brings to life the experiences of teenagers in Britain.

More than 500 youngsters from across the Tees Valley were involved in creating the show which has been staged across the UK.

Now the final performance, which has had rave reviews across the country, will be staged at Tuned In on Redcar’s seafront on Saturday.

Youngsters at Prior Pursglove College in Guisborough are taking part in the last production.

Patricia Suarez, movement director, is originally from Guisborough and has returned to her old school for the very final production.

She said: “What’s great for me about this is coming back to my own college and with the last performance being in Redcar - it’s really exciting."

Tickets are free from 01642-771245. There is a showing tonight at 6.30pm and Saturday's performances are at 10.30am and 1.30pm.
