A TOWN is making sure it does not get overshadowed by bigger festive events by doing Christmas its own way.

For the last five years resident Tanya Mcfadden has arranged for a memorial Christmas tree to be erected in the town centre. People from Tow Law and the surrounding area create their own decorations, carrying messages for loved ones, to place on the tree.

Mrs Mcfadden said: “Tow Law doesn’t get a mention and there are things going on here, people come from all over to dedicate a decoration. We have a wonderful night with the light switch on and Santa was brilliant.

“I want to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved and attended the memorial Christmas Tree switch on.
