A CREATIVE day is being held for budding artists who want to hone their skills and try out different types of art.

The Teesdale Art Net (TAN) day is taking place at the TCR Hub, in Barnard Castle and will see skilled artists offer a day of workshops for a variety of art types.

The artists leading workshops include Sara Cox who will provide coaching in Gyotaku printing and felt-making and Ann Gill who will share her skills in free motion stitching and collage.

Event organiser, Suzanne Williams, said: “We have already taken a number of bookings for what we expect will be an enjoyable and productive day. If you fancy having a go at a different form of art or just want to extend existing skills please contact us in plenty of time to secure a booking. This promises to be a fun event to lift spirits as autumn closes in.”

The fee for the day is £30 for adults or £10 for students and children. This includes all materials, coaching, tuition and lunch and refreshments.
