TASTY treats are on offer when the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) joins the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' later this month.

The Pioneering Care Centre, in Newton Aycliffe, will be filled with freshly prepared tea, coffee, cakes and biscuits in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.

As well as tasty treats, people will be showing support with a selection of craft and gift stalls selling handcrafted items.

The centre is encouraging people to be part of the nationwide coffee morning to help families affected by cancer.

Carl Gaskarth, PCP chief executive, said: “Macmillan Cancer Support's biggest fundraising event is the annual coffee morning. We will all know someone who has been affected by cancer. There are around 363,000 new cancer cases in the UK every year, that’s one person diagnosed with cancer every two minutes.

"PCP hears many stories from the people we support about the excellent help and care Macmillan provides and we are proud to support this very worthy cause. Come along sample some cakes, enjoy a cuppa and help us to raise funds for Macmillan.”

The coffee morning will take place at the Pioneering Care Partnership, on Friday, September 27 from 10am to 1pm.
