BUTTERWICK Hospice will hold its second moonlight ribbon walk next month and there is still time to sign up to take part.

After a huge success at Raby Castle in 2018, the charity will return for a second year on Saturday, September 14 when walkers will get to see the blood moon rise.

Hospice fundraiser Milly Toner said the walk is a chance for people to get together to celebrate the life of loved ones, whilst walking around the stunning castle grounds, lake and walled garden in aid of the charity.

The 5km walk will begin at 7.30pm, ending as the sun sets. There will be markers around the whole route, a front walker and a back walker and people are encouraged to dress brightly.

Adult tickets are £13.50, under 16s £8.50 and under twos go free or family ticket is available and walkers are asked to collect as much sponsorship as possible. Participants receive a medal and a surprise, along with a ribbon to write the name of a loved on and wear. For details call 01388-603003 or visit butterwick.org.uk/events
