A GIRL'S fundraising idea has inspired her whole school to get involved by hosting a day of charity fun this Friday.

Ten-year-old Kacie Dowell decided she wanted to support the Little Princess Trust, by donating 11 inches of her hair to the charity which makes wigs for children with hairloss.

Her school, Fishburn Primary, has organised a charity afternoon at which the sponsored haircut will be held around 4.30pm.

Families and residents are invited into school, on East View, between 3.30pm and 5pm, to support Kacie. They can also see a teacher collect donations to sit in a bath of slime, another member of staff doing a Kitkat challenge and someone else will have their chest waxed. There will also be a grand raffle with prizes including nail, meat and meal vouchers, a tombola and refreshments.
