THE sums all add up at Ingleton CofE Primary School which is in the top one percent of schools across the UK for mathematics.

Headteacher, Karen Whitaker, received a special letter from the Secretary of State for Education, MP Damien Hinds and the Minister of State for School Standards, MP Nick Gibb, informing her that every pupil had achieved or exceeded the expected standard for Key Stage 2.

The letter read: "Thank you for producing such high standards through your hard work and professionalism, and congratulations again to you and your staff for all you have achieved."

Mrs Whitaker said she was incredibly proud of all the children and their teachers.

She said: "I am incredibly proud of what our pupils have achieved. "They have worked tremendously hard and I would like to personally thank their class teacher Miss Harris and HLTA Mrs Briggs for their hard work and commitment given to pupils in order to achieve this amazing result."
