A NOVELIST, journalist and creative writing tutor will lead a series of monthly workshops.

Wendy Robertson will run the sessions at Bishop Auckland Town Hall, on Saturday, January 26, February 23, March 23 and April 27, from 2pm to 4pm.

Wendy has more than 20 successful novels published and is always happy to pass on her experience to budding writers through inspiring workshops.

The stand-alone master classes will focus on the way writers use use incidents and events from their own lives to inspire creative writing– fact or fiction, prose or poetry.

The workshops will encourage both new and more experienced writers to transform authentic glimpsed memories and perceptions into prose and poetic writing which will resonate at a deeper level with those who read it and also engender new insights for the writer.

Wendy will share examples from her own novels and short stories to illustrate this.

Anyone interested is recommended to book early as places are limited. To book a place on Writing from Life, priced £5 per session, call 03000-269524.
