A DAREDEVIL York woman is planning a second wing walk in the hope of raising a sky-high £3,000 for charity.

Libbie Waddleton, 33, has been challenged to get back in the air by two charities; York-based Accessible Arts & Media and assistance dog charity Dogs for Good.

Flying at between 100ft and 700ft and reaching speeds between 80mph and 110mph, Libbie will be doing her second wing walk in fancy dress, with the final outfit yet to be decided.

Libbie said “Due to the impact of Covid-19, charities across the UK are struggling so it seems like the perfect time to do this challenge again and brighten up what feels like a fairly gloomy world at the moment.

"I also want to raise funds for two charities that I’ve built a strong personal connection with over the last 12 months. Both Accessible Arts & Media and Dogs for Good do incredible work supporting those living with a wide range of disabilities to maintain as much independence and sense of belonging as they possibly can.”

She will take to the skies again on the wings of a 1942 Boeing Stearman from the Wickenby Aerodrome in Lincolnshire on September 4.
