A PLANT centre that was founded four-decades-ago is preparing to reopen to visitors after four months of lockdown closure.
Terry Maynard founded Maynard's Plant Centre at Great Broughton in 1980 and says he is delighted to be reopening on July 31 with social distancing measures in place.
He said: "From this coming Friday morning we are finally reopening for sales and browsing of all our plants compost and farm antiques that I have collected over my lifetime.
"A mask must be worn in our inside space and the toilets remain closed.
"Debit cards or cash are accepted and social distancing has to be maintained at all times."
The centre will be open 8.30am until 4.45pm Monday to Saturday. It is closed Sundays until the Christmas tree field opens in November.
