A POST Office service will be returning to a Richmond village next week.
A hosted outreach service will be restored at Middleton Tyas Memorial Hall on May 25, opening at 10am.
The hosted outreach service is when a nearby postmaster provides a service at a set time and location every week and the Middleton Tyas service will be operated by the postmaster from Middleton St George Post Office.
It will operate on Tuesday and Wednesday from 10am to noon.
The branch closed temporarily in October 2019, following the resignation of the postmaster.
The outreach service will be in place whilst the Post Office continues to seek a permanent solution for the village.
The hosted service will offer a wide range of Post Office products and services.
Customers will be able to take advantage of range of banking services including cash withdrawals and balance enquiries for customers of all the main UK banks.
Post Office change manager, Ian Murphy, said: “We are pleased to be able to restore Post Office service to Middleton Tyas whilst we continue to look for a permanent solution.”
