MORE than a dozen Dales children have been inspired by the dark skies.
The youngsters, aged between five and 13, have recently attended two art workshops at Hudson House in Reeth, organised by one of the directors, Nick Cauldwell.
The 5th Annual Yorkshire Dales Dark Sky Festival runs from February 14 to March 1.
National Parks are a stargazer’s paradise, with some of the best night skies in the country which are celebrated during the festival, which is all about discovering, learning and enjoying the dark and the stars you can see as a result, with events suitable for all ages.
Mr Cauldwell said: "The children have produced some amazing and inventive pictures and mobiles to celebrate the forthcoming Dark Skies fortnight and these will be on display in the Hudson House Gallery from February 15 to 29."
Richmondshire District Councillor Richard Good said “The children really let their imagination fly with some fantastic pictures, and quality is really outstanding. I hope residents and visitors will go along to see their work.”
The gallery is open from 10am to 3.30pm daily and is free.
