A VILLAGE dramatic society is preparing for its 21st pantomime with a performance of Peter Pan.

Dalton Amateur Dramatic Society is adding the final touches to the show, which will open on Thursday, February 20 at Dalton and Gayles Village Hall.

There will be two further performances on Friday, and Saturday, February 21 and 22, all at 7.30pm.

Co-directors Becca Blenkiron and Adam Wallis said: “This year’s pantomime contains the usual tongue-in-cheek frivolities, an abundance of songs, doolally dances, and amusing costumes."

Miss Blenkiron added: "As for myself and Adam as directors, it a first time for us both although we have participated in this pantomime for more than a decade, which at 25 and 21 made us very young when we first started!

"Rehearsals started back in September when Adam and I decided to put ourselves forward as directors. Since then rehearsals have gained momentum and enthusiasm, and we can safely say we’re further ahead then we have been in other performances in the past! All the cast are excited but also nervous for the performance in February."

The pantomime tells the tale of Peter Pan’s battle with Captain Hook, and his adventures with Wendy and her brothers to Neverland. For tickets call the Dramatic Society on 07707-915372.
