RESIDENTS can pick up expert tips about how to prevent fraud and other offences at a special workshop in Northallerton.
The event, run by North Yorkshire Police and Age UK, brings together specialists from different industries who will provide free advice to the public.
Anyone can attend the two-hour workshop at Age UK on Zetland Street tomorrow, December 19, at 10am to noon.
PCSO Dougie Beveridge said: “It’s rare to get so much expert advice in one room, so this is a great opportunity for people of all ages to come along and find out how to prevent fraud and other crimes.
“Being targeted by criminals can be very traumatic, but by picking up some simple tricks and expert knowledge you can make informed decisions and reduce your chance of becoming a victim.”
