PRO-EU campaigners rolled into Richmond at the weekend as part of a high-profile bus tour urging people to vote tactically.
The tour, by a vintage double-decker London bus, emblazoned with the slogan "Love Yorkshire? Stop Brexit" has been organised by an alliance of grassroots pro-EU groups.
Over the next two weeks it will be used as a mobile base for campaigners, stopping at different locations across Yorkshire.
Their main message will be that the public should vote tactically to prevent Boris Johnson forming a majority government – which they say would inflict years more Brexit chaos on everyone.
Richard Sadler, chair of North Yorkshire for Europe, said: “We’re all just volunteers and we’ve never done anything like this before.
"But we felt at this critical time we had to do something to highlight the threat to our region and the United Kingdom itself from the reckless and irresponsible Brexit policy being pursued by Boris Johnson."
