DEMENTIA Friendly Richmondshire is organising a Memory Walk this Saturday, October 5.
The event, at Catterick Racecourse, will celebrate the racecourse’s work towards becoming a dementia-friendly site, having recently registered more than 20 dementia friendly-staff.
There will also be a pop up Memory Café at the racecourse from 10am until 12.30pm to raise funds for local dementia provider, Dementia Forward.
The café will be provided by local charity, Colburn Hub and Community Café, and everyone is welcome to find out more about dementia services.
The walk will be officially started by Richmondshire District Council Chairman Councillor Stuart Parsons at 11am and is being hosted by the annual Richmond Walking and Books Festival.
