A JUNIOR football club has celebrated a successful run of seasons, culminating in a treble of titles.

Catterick Village Junior Football Club first they won the Harrogate and District U12s League B Division title in February, before following that up by winning the Hambleton and Richmondshire U12s Premier League title.

They then finished things off by beating Ripon City in the H&RJFL League Cup Final to complete a fantastic season.

Club vice chairman and coach Jason Thompson said: "CVJFC already had a very strong group of players at U12 which had built up a reputation for playing excellent passing football having been together for five seasons, with several players being asked to join Leeds United Academy.

"Then several Leyburn and Richmond Town players came to join them when they were sadly left without a club last summer.

"This enabled CVJFC U12s to run two teams, giving more game time to development players and to increase training to twice a week with a Leeds United Academy coach joining the coaching team.

"This greatly helped to further develop players and integrate new signings and they also managed to beat Leeds United’s Development Team along the way."

For next season CVJFC is looking for several new players to join them. Anyone looking for a new club at U12 or U13 please get in touch via their website http://www.catterickvillagejfc.net.
