COMMUNITY organisations have benefitted from a share £4,000 from homebuilder Taylor Wimpey North Yorkshire.

The company has been awarding the cash to causes local to its Thurstan Park development in Northallerton.

The donations have been made to local schools, sports clubs, charities and organisations over a two-year period and have helped to purchase new sports kits, fund refurbishment projects and raise vital funds for families affected by Huntington’s Disease.

One of the many causes to benefit from Taylor Wimpey’s commitment to invest in local communities was Northallerton Rugby Union Football Club, which received nearly £900 towards training gear for its First XV team.

Another sporting club to receive assistance was Brompton Juniors Football Club, who used the £700 donation to buy brand-new kits for the children.

Steven Ball, of Taylor Wimpey, said: “As a national homebuilder, we are committed to enriching the communities we build in through participating and donating to worthy causes."
