RNLI Lifeguards will begin patrolling beaches in North Yorkshire ahead of the summer season.
Lifeguards will begin their daily patrols to ensure visitors are safe at Cayton Bay, Sandsend and Runswick Bay.
The patrolling will begin on Saturday, June 29 and operate until Sunday, September 1.
The sites are expected to be at their peak over the next few months, at a time when visitors are at risk of experiencing difficulties at sea.
Alex Richardson, RNLI lifeguard supervisor, said: "Following a stringent training programme our charity’s lifeguards are in peak condition and they’re really looking forward to returning to their posts.
"Whatever the weather, we’ll be there to offer friendly safety advice.
"95 percent of the role is preventative but RNLI lifeguards are highly trained and are equipped to deal with everything from locating missing children and treating minor cuts and grazes through to performing major first-aid and lifesaving rescues.
"We always advise people to visit a lifeguarded beach and to swim between the red and yellow flags.
"It’s great to see visitors enjoying the coast with the extra peace of mind of knowing that we are there should they need us."
Lifeguards have already began daily patrols in Scarborough North, Scarborough South and Whitby.
