A SUMMER programme of outdoor Shakespeare performances in York kicks off next week.
The cast and crew of all the productions that are being put on at York and Blenheim Palace joined together at the Shakespeare Theatre in York to celebrate the series.
Shakespeare's Rose Theatre's York Company will perform Hamlet, Henry V, The Tempest and Twelfth Night in rotation from June 25 to September 1.
The shows will take place on a pop-up theatre at the foot of Clifford’s Tower and follows the theatre company's highly acclaimed inaugural season in York last year.
There will also be performances of Macbeth, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Richard III and Romeo and Juliet given in the grounds of Blenheim Palace in Oxfordshire.
