ADULTS and children have been invited to take part in Armed Forces Day celebrations at a library.
On Saturday, June 29, visitors will be encouraged to visit Scarborough Library for a vintage tea party, children's games and a series of five-minute plays.
Councillor Greg White of North Yorkshire County Council said: “This is an opportunity to recognise the area’s armed forces personnel past and present while enjoying a fun-filled family celebration at your library.
“There’s always something special happening at your local library, as well as a wealth of resources to help you enjoy the events and activities on offer. Library membership is free, so if you’re not a member why not join at the Armed Forces Day event."
The event begins at 12 until 1.30pm.
The series of plays will take place between 12.15pm and 1.15pm.
