A WHOLE host of vintage tractors have trundled their way around North Yorkshire village in preparation for a two-day festival.

Old-school engines and motorcycles from all over Europe will converge on Newby Hall in North Yorkshire for Tractor Fest in June.

Over the weekend, tractors set off from Newby Hall, an 18th century county house that will play host to the event at Skelton-on-Ure, Ripon.

Drivers taking part in the procession were fundraising ahead of the festival that will commemorate the outbreak of the Second World War with a 1940s theme and also honour the 90th anniversary of the Fordson N tractor – ‘the tractor that won the war’.

The unsung Second World War hero was stationed outside Newby Hall on Saturday alongside vintage volunteers gearing up for Tractor Fest on June 8 and 9.
