A VILLAGE is hosting its second annual beer festival featuring local beers, lagers, wine and food.
Danby Wiske, near Northallerton, is to host its second Yorkshire Beer Festival on Friday, April 26 and Saturday, April 27 at the village hall.
It will feature 15 beers, two bottled lagers and the introduction of a bottled low alcohol beer, all from Yorkshire.
The Yorkshire theme continues with wine from two local vineyards.
There will be music this year, with local Thirsk duo the Bootleggers playing on Friday night. Swale Valley Stompers play on Saturday afternoon, with No Direction headlining on Saturday night. About 250 people attended the festival last year.
Chief organiser Adrian Farmer said: “Last year was born from a crazy idea of creating our own Beer Festival that the Village Hall Committee ran with and it was a huge success. The concept was to promote what was available from the brewing industry, right on our doorstep here in Yorkshire. All the breweries have been amazing with their continued support."
The festival opens at 5pm on April 26 and noon on April 27, both finishing at 11pm.
Adult entrance costs £3.
