FAMILY fun days across the Yorkshire Dales are to take place over the next two months ahead of the summer holiday period.

The Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority is hosting several 'activity' days across the area, which are free for anyone to attend.

Families with young children will be invited to Gill Garth Farm in Ribblesdale on April 16, whilst a 'stream-dipping' activity will be held on April 26, near Malham.

There will also be three guided walks during the 'National Parks Fortnight,' across Wensleydale.

Catherine Kemp, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority education and events manager said: “During this year’s National Parks Fortnight we’re shining the spotlight on some of the amazing animals that live in the National Park.

"Our events will be led by our specialist staff, each of the two-hour discovery sessions will get children and their families hands on and back to nature.

“The events will provide opportunities for children to carry out practical conservation tasks, while the ‘Go Wild’ events will help people discover what makes our National Park so special."
