A STATELY home gardens has announced its opening dates for the season but will no longer open for general admissions.
Constable Burton Hall Gardens, in Wensleydale, will open every last weekend in the month from March to July, as well as selected special dates.
The first opening of the year is Saturday, March 30 and Sunday, March 31 from 10am until 4pm. Admission is £4, concessions £3 and children under 16 50p. Dogs are allowed on a lead.
Special events include Easter weekend from Maundy Thursday, April 18 to Easter Monday, April 22 from 10am until 4pm; and the Tulip Festival from Saturday, May 4 to Monday, May 6, as he Northern Show Gardens for Chelsea award-winning Bloms Bulbs.
Imogen Wyvill from Constable Burton Hall said: "More than 6,000 tulips are planted throughout the gardens. There is a spectacular display of cut flowers of all the show tulips in the lawn marquee.
"There will be refreshments, light lunches and classic cream teas, artisan stalls and children’s activities."
Three Inch Fools Outdoor Theatre will be performing from Saturday, June 22 at 6pm. The Flower Power Plant Fair will be on Sunday, July 7 from 11am to 4pm.
The gardens will also be open on Spring Bank Holiday Monday, May 27 and Father's Day, Sunday, June 16.
