A JUNIOR football club is to open its new grass pitch following a major monetary grant.
Bedale Juniors Football Club, based at Dobson's Field in the town announced that it is on track to unveil its new pitches and grounds maintenance equipment on Thursday, April 4.
The pitches have been funded by a significant grant of £100,000 from the Premier League.
The grant is jointly funded by the Football Association and the government's football foundation.
Hambleton District Council also paid £175,000 to the club towards the purchase of the land.
According to football club bosses, the new pitches will allow the number of participants aged between 14 and 25, to double.
The funding will also allow the club to increase its recruitment in the future.
