AN AVIATION museum has been named the Specialist Attraction of the Year in an award voted for by visitors.
The Yorkshire Air Museum, near York, picked up the award from UK travel magazine Going Places for the 2018/2019 period.
The museum has won the award twice previously, in 2011 and 2015, and this year it again recognises the unique and historic nature of the museum. During 2018 it undertook major events in connection with RAF100 both in UK and France.
Museum director Ian Reed said: "I am pleased that the efforts of our excellent team have been acknowledged once again. Our ideas and creativity have been recognised by major organisations for many years and the fact we are able to deliver high class events with little resources is testament to the dedication of our people."
