A LOGISTICS firm has reported it can continue strong performance as it cites profitability improved in its last financial year.

The Reed Boardall Group in Boroughbridge, which specialises in cold storage and delivery of cold products to supermarkets in Britain and the EU, reported a turnover of £61.6m in its last financial year, a 2.3 percent rise from the year before.

The Reed Boardall Group’s chief executive, Marcus Boardall said: “As a trusted partner to many of the leading retailers and food manufacturers in the UK, remaining at the forefront of the sector and continuing to provide high levels of service, implement meticulous safety procedures and invest in the latest innovations remain a priority.”

The company, which has more than 750 employees at its only base near the A19, said its location helped its business model.

The group’s financial director, Sarah Roberts added: “Our strong results are testament to the efficiency of our single site model, giving customers a truly integrated cold storage and transport service, and establishing us as the largest consolidator of frozen food in the UK.”
