HAWES Artist Stacey Moore has created a special artwork commemorating the First World War to help raise charity funds.

The coloured pencil drawing, ‘One Hundred Poppies’, has been designed by Ms Moore to mark 100-years since the end of the Great War.

The artist is selling 100 framed limited edition prints at £100, with £10 of every sale being donated to The Royal British Legion.

The commemorative piece features 100 poppies, with one of the flowers striving poignantly to the light in the sky.

Ms Moore said: “This is such a significant occasion that I really wanted to produce a piece of artwork that not only marks the occasion but moves the viewer.

“I feel this is one of my most powerful pieces of work.”

Ms Moore is well-known for her captivating depictions of Yorkshire’s farm animals and wildlife.
