A COMMUNITY is flying in the face of Brexit after signing a Declaration of Friendship with a town in the Loire region of France.
The towns of Bedale and Azay-sur-Cher are now working to create links between residents, businesses and schools. Members of the Twinning Association who have just returned from Azay sur Cher are holding a French evening on June 5 in Bedale Hall Drawing room to encourage more people to become involved with a delegation from France due in October. Councillor Christine Mollard said: "This is now a great opportunity for our towns to form a lasting bond."
