YOUNG visitors to a Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust site in the North-East can become junior rangers during the school holiday period.

Dusty’s Wildlife Rangers is a scheme to encourage youngsters to explore the Washington Wetlands Centre and discover the wide range of creatures which inhabit the reserve.

Free Wildlife Rangers’ log books are available on site, packed with everything would be rangers need to know before setting off on a day of exciting discoveries.

There are six different fun activities for youngsters to try, helping them to explore the wetlands, while learning essential ranger skills, such as spotting and surveying the wildlife on site.

There is no need to book and the cost is included within the price of general admission to the site, with further information available via www.wwt.org.uk, and seeking the Washington site.
