AN elderly pedestrian is fighting for his life after being hit by a lorry.
The 82-year-old man was struck by a HGV on the carriageway of the A693 near Beamish Museum in County Durham at about 11.45am on Friday.
The 82-year-old man was taken to hospital where police say he remains in a life-threatening condition.
Durham Police are appealing for witnesses t the incient.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101.
