AN internationally acclaimed Chinese Circus is in the North-East for four days.
The show by the Chinese State Circus is in Durham and opened last night at The Sands.
The Dynasty show features acrobats, aerial artistes and jugglers as well as the legendary Shaolin Warriors.
It uses low-tech everyday objects and turns them into high-tech acrobatic equipment, including hurtling porcelain jars, spinning plates, balancing upon gigantic pyramids of tables and chairs framed by the strands of silk supporting aerialists.
Shows are on at 2.30pm and 7pm today and tomorrow and at 12noon and 3pm on Sunday.
Tickets are priced between £12 and £36 and are available from the box office by calling 0844 4155228.
