INTERVIEWS have been held for the next Bishop of Durham.
The Crown Nominations Commission (CNC) held interview yesterday and today (Friday, June 7).
In a message on Twitter, the Very Reverend Michael Sadgrove, Dean of Durham, asked for prayers for discernment for the commissioners.
The last Bishop of Durham, Justin Welby, became Archbishop of Canterbury earlier this year.
It is expected a successor will be announced this summer.
The CNC will submit two names to the Prime Minister, who by convention accepts the first and passes it to the Queen for approval.
