A BOOK of remembrance can now be viewed online following the launch of a new website.

Mountsett Crematorium’s new website includes information about the venue and services and also includes images of its book of remembrance.

The facility allows people who have paid for an inscription to view it online and pay their respects to their loved one no matter where they are.

Graham Harrison, bereavement services manager for Durham County Council which runs the crematorium, said: “At this time of year, many people want to take some time out to reflect and remember those they’ve lost.

“Our new website features an exact copy of the book of remembrance we hold at the crematorium.

"It means that people can view their inscription whenever and wherever they want.”

People whose loved ones are commemorated at Durham Crematorium can already view their inscriptions by visiting the city crematorium’s website.

Both sites include a wide range of information for members of the public and professionals including funeral directors.
