THE Beast from the East might have postponed a sponsored walk, but it has not stopped organisers in their tracks.
Paws for a Cause has got its bark back and will now be going ahead on Sunday, April 29, at Riverside Park, Chester-le- Street.
Two routes are available, either 1.5 miles or a three miles.
The day is expected to be fun for both dogs and their owners as the morning will feature a fun dog show with categories including Prettiest Pooch, Handsome Hound, Happiest Dog, Best Fancy Dress and Most Like Owner.
Sarah Donkin, assistant community and events fundraiser, said: “We’re pleased to announce we have a new date for our popular Paws for a Cause event. We’re looking forward to welcoming many different breeds – all shapes and sizes.
Registration for the walk is £10 per dog. Entry to the dog show is £1 per category. To register for this event visit www.stcuthbertshospice.com
Registration at the event opens at 10am and the flyball course also opens at 10am
The dog show is sponsored by Doggie Diner and takes place from 11am until noon.
