A FOOTBALL club is appealing for help from the public to win funding for new changing rooms.
Chester-le-Street FC hopes to be awarded up to £25,000 from the Aviva Community Fund for new changing facilities at their ground.
Projects which get the most votes in an online poll at community-fund.aviva.co.uk will receive funding.
The 400-member club, which was formed 45 years ago, currently uses a portable building as a clubhouse, in which players get changed and wants to build a permanent replacement.
Club chairman Joe Burlison said: “We’ve come a long way in the 45 years since the club was started.
“We are now an established part of the local community.
“The new facilities will help us continue our work”.
