FIVE workmates are preparing to take part in a charity skydive.

Sarah Cairns, Rahul Nadkarni, Ben Raines, Jamie Short and Rhys Faulkner Watford will sky dive from 10,000ft in aid of St Cuthbert’s Hospice, in Durham.

The five all work at the city’s Radisson Blu hotel.

The dive will take place at Peterlee Parachute Centre, east Durham, on Saturday, October 2.

Ms Cairns said: "When I was asked if I would like to participate in the skydive, I jumped at the chance - no pun intended.

"This is a challenge that I have been dreaming about ever since I bungee jumped off a 150ft crane in Corfu."

Also taking part is Emily Rosselli, the hospice’s communications co-ordinator.

She said: "This really is an unmissable opportunity to experience the thrill of a lifetime and make a very real difference for your local hospice."

There are still places available to join the skydive. A £70 deposit and minimum sponsorship of £400 are required. For more information, call Rachel Jobson on 0191-386-1170.
