A GOLF club is hoping to maintain its track record of helping people fall in love by offering couples an intimate Valentine’s Day experience.
Will Green, from Sunderland, is a catering manager at Durham University but met his fiancée Kirsty - also called Green - from Durham, while clubhouse manager at Ramside Golf Club.
She was working there as a sales executive.
Two years on, they have a one-year-old son and are planning a wedding for 2021.
In honour of the couple, Ramside Golf Club has launched a romantic golf dinner date for couples this Valentine’s Day.
The Nine, Mine and Dine experience gives couples the chance to play golf together and enjoy a candlelit dinner in the clubhouse afterwards.
Kirsty said: “Ramside Golf Club will always be a special venue for Will and I. Everyone remembers where they first met.
“Neither of us had ever played golf but one of our first dates was a 9-hole fun event that mixed golf with wining and dining. I suppose with our surname, it was fate that we’d fall in love out on the greens.”
The Nine, Mine and Dine event pairs a golfer with a non-golfer for a nine-hole competition. The golfer hits the shots from tee to green and the non-golfer does all the putting.Tee off is 2pm and costs £27.90 per couple. Call 0191-386-9514 to book.
