A STAR studded event raised £150,000 for a North East charity.
The inaugural Halloween Spectacular, in aid of the Graham Wylie Foundation, attracted 500 ghoulish-dressed guests including television presenter Jeremy Kyle, Steps star Faye Tozer, golfer Lee Westwood and showbusiness personality Christopher Biggins.
Money raised through ticket sales, a raffle and charity auction, will be used by the charity to help children across the region.

He said: “It was a fantastic showcase of what we can achieve here in the North East. Because not only did guests show incredible generosity in buying tables and bidding for prizes, but other factors, such as the staging of the event, the entertainment and the catering, could not have been possible without the expertise of North East people and businesses.
“And the figure raised – which is truly magnificent – will stay here in the North East where it will help, educate and inspire our children. I am very, very grateful to all who helped make this first Halloween Spectacular such a success – and I am already planning the next one.”
